Dance Education for Homeschoolers
Selah Academy is a dance school for homeschoolers directed by former homeschool and New World School of the Arts graduate, Brittany Kernohan. Selah Academy teaches students the fundamentals of dance, body alignment and terminology, with focus on ballet and modern dance education. Classes harbor a fun and encouraging atmosphere to help build confidence, learn teamwork, grace and develop dance technique. Selah Academy offers ballet, modern, jazz, tap and pointe classes during the day, specifically gearing these classes to homeschooled students.
Selah Academy is proud to include the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 9-level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.
